  The annual Vigan City festival creates a unique experience for me because the city transforms into an extraordinary state during this time. The streets started to come alive with people who waited to see what the day would bring from the first light of dawn. The streets filled with music that played from all directions, while the smell of local food created an atmosphere of joy that made everyone who walked by to smile. The whole community decided to take a break from their daily routines to join together for a communal celebration.      The parade was my favorite part because it showed local pride through its continuous display of local heritage.
